I remember when my husband -Steve and I had played Cribbage with Uncle Jim and Uncle Dick at my dads house. I don't think that they realized we knew how toplay as wellas we had played that day. We not only skunked them, we double skunked them. Uncle Jim wasn't very happy and wouldn't play cribbage with us the rest of the weekend. I will miss Uncle Jim, his deep voice, and his hands of cribbage. Thank-you for the memories.

My Sweety was such a comfortable person to live with. He was not only my best friend but also the Love of my life. He had often told me that we had been made for each other and should have met years before we did. We had plan to spend the rest of our golden years together on our new truck, we couldn't get enough of one another. Our Grandchildren were our children together, there was never the step word that has been used. I will miss his beautiful voice I fell in love with first, His warm chuckle, His wonderful hands that would hold my hands and His strong arms that held me at night. His twice daily phone calls to check on me and the ball scores. I will miss "Good Night My Love" Our favorite songs were "Take a Chance on Me" by Abba and "Kiss You All Over" by Exile
Jim would have had a good story to tell abut the overwhelming out pour of love and friendship you have all showed at this time.....and we all knew he loved a good story.......THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND LOVE, IT HAS BEEN SO APPREICATED

At one of our many family get-togethers I remeber taking a walk around Twin Harbor State Park with Jim. We had both been on recent diets and we were laughing at the results or lack thereof. He always had a smile and a hug. I will miss hearing Becca and Jason yelling "Unca Jim's here!!" I swear thay could hear him coming up our hill before the dogs even let out a bark. Unca Jim we love you!!

I'll always remember when Grandpa, my parents, my sister, and I all went fishing. It was my first time and I was about 3 or 4. I was the only one not paying attenion to my line when a fish started tugging on it. Grandpa helped me reel it in and then he put it on a chain and dropped it back in the water. when we arrived at the shore we went to get the fish we had caught and it wasn't there. I'll never forget the surprised look on his face! I know we'll all miss him very much!

My favorite memmory of my grandpa is last Chrismas when we were playing my new game Guesstures. It was grandpa Jims turn and he picked four cards, one of the two options on one of the cards was body-figure. Well grandpa got up there and he wriggled and trided to act out his best body-figure. We all laughfed till we cried.I will always love you grandpa, and I'll always miss you, and remember you.

One of my fondest memories of Jim will be our famiy's connection to each other. I knew that Jim had a sister and brother-in-law in Chiloquin Oregon and I knew my parents had lived in Chiloquin Oregon. But I'd never asked Louwana or Jim what his sister's name was. In the summer of '89, Jim's sister passed away. I called my mom and told her that Jim nd Louwana were in Chiloquin for his sister's funeral, and my mom asked me if I knew what her name was. I told her, Bob and Ruby Brotherton, and there was a long pause on the other end of the line. And my mom said, "we were best friends and neighbors in 1962." So I've always felt a special connection, as our familes knew each other before I was even born, and I will remember that forever.

We will miss Jim, he was a pleasure to work around. Everytime we ran into him he was always in good spirits and really nice to talk to. Last time we saw him and Louwana was in Forest City, MO the day after they bought the new truck and we unloaded together. While we were in line Jim was figuring out how to turn on the refridgerator and I found the switch for him and turned it on. Louwana gave me a nice tour and they were both so pleased with the new truck. They shared with me after her hip operation that they were going to run together and see the world! It was a nice visit, and that is the last time we saw him. He and his smile will be missed. Our prayers and thoughts are with you! Sincerely Larry and Diane

This is just a note to offer my sincere condolence to your family. He will certainly be missed and remembered. I am also leased on with Rancho and had run into Jim numerous times either in the yard or on the road. In an occupation where you may often encounter negative behaviors (complaining, language etc.) Jim stood out as an easygoing, mild and well- mannered gentleman. It was always a pleasure to chat with him. He was well respected at Rancho. Again, he will be sorely missed.

I have known Jim since we were in the 10th grade at Sacred Heart Academy. Jim lived about 2 blocks from my home and he called one evening and asked if I wanted to go for a ride. Course I said yes and ten minutes later there he was with a giant wheelbarrow. I hopped in and he wheeled me around the block. Years later we had five wonderful children together and then later still we both found happiness with John and Louwana.

I remember visting with Jim and Louwana at their house in Mineral, and we were all walking out onto the back deck to go somewhere. Pete was walking out right behind his dad, and Jim looked back, did a little double-take, and said "You're a pretty big guy!" He hadn't been thinking of Pete as the 6'1" man he had grown into, and I guess was a little surprised to notice how tall Pete was. I'm not sure why, but I always remember that when I think of Jim.
